Continuing the Devils’ legacy of Giving, the Devils Youth Foundation plans to continue their good work in the community with these and other featured partners.

UNITED COMMUNITY CORPORATION

The United Community Corporation (UCC) was formed in 1964 in response to President Johnson’s declaration of the “Unconditional war on poverty.” UCC’s mission is to assist low-income, disadvantaged and at risk individuals and families, including seniors and youth, to become self-sufficient and self supporting; while enhancing their quality of life and standard of living.

Hockey in New Jersey

Founded in 2003, Hockey in New Jersey (HNJ) inspires youth to develop life skills, succeed academically and create positive relationships through the sport of hockey. HNJ provides the opportunity for children to learn and play ice hockey absolutely free of cost. With locations in Belleville, Englewood, Hackensack, Jersey City, Montclair and Newark, HNJ has over 1,000 current participants. The Devils Youth Foundation looks forward to partnering with HNJ to increase physical fitness opportunities for our community.

Keeping Kids Moving

Building physical activity into everyday activities is one way to improve long-term health and wellness. The Devils Youth Foundation will collaborate with groups like Activity Works to provide simple exercise opportunities tied to curriculum for kids to become more active at school and at home.
